This program provides urgent veterinary care for homeless animals with severe medical needs, such as mass removals, emergency surgeries, or debilitating conditions. The program connects animals to lifesaving treatments and offers transportation to clinics, ensuring they receive care when it matters most.
Every Little Bit Matters began with a dog named Little Bit. The Saturday before Christmas, Knotty Creek was passing out Grizzly bags in Lane County while making a kibble drop-off at a Safe Sleep area. There, we met Little Bit, a pit bull mix with a large mass on his neck that pulled on his eye and kept him from running and playing. The moment our founder saw him, she knew something had to be done.
On Christmas morning, we told Little Bit’s owner we wanted to help. Just six days later, we raised $2,700 for his surgery.
This program was created to provide urgent veterinary care for homeless animals like Little Bit, who face severe medical challenges. It focuses on animals in critical need, such as those requiring mass removals, emergency surgeries, or treatment for debilitating conditions.
Through this program, we:
• Assist homeless animals with access to care for extreme medical cases.
• Provide transportation to and from veterinary clinics to ensure they receive the attention they desperately need.
This program exists to make a difference for animals in their most vulnerable moments. Every little bit of effort and care can change a life.
